Ashlee Holmes Malleo and Pete Malleo confirmed their divorce in separate statements. The former couple appeared in season 7 of The Real Housewives. Pete confirmed the Malleo divorce and that he is currently single. Ashlee said they have separated since August and filed for divorce in October.
Pete said he is focused on their son and he will continue to love him. He further added that he is hopeful to resolve the divorce with Ashlee in a private manner. Ashlee is the daughter of RHONJ alum Jacqueline Laurita. Ashlee and Pete got engaged in 2016. Later that year their son, Cameron Hendrix Malleo was born. After two years they got married at the City Clerk’s Office in Manhattan. Ashlee announced the Malleo divorce on Instagram in July 2020.
Ashlee said that she and Pete will focus on the co-parenting of their son. She added that it was a difficult decision for them as they have been together for the last 10 years as best friends, partners, and navigated through parenthood. She said that it would be better to grow as individuals and support each other. As parents, they will continue to be loving and dedicated to their son Cameron. Ashlee said that their new goal is to become the best co-parents. She asked people to respect her family during this time.
By February of this year, both Ashlee and Pete were back together. They shared a Valentine’s Day message on Instagram and a romantic day in Las Vegas. Ashlee wrote in the post that we spent most of 2020 separated and it has been complicated. Whereas she said they recently entered a point where they could grow apart or grow together.
